Marjorie L. Bunnell, 72, a resident of Mendota Lutheran Home, died April 9, 2009, in St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palos Park Presbyterian Community Church, Palos Park, with the Rev. James Tony officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park. There will be no visitation. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, provided the arrangements. She was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Chicago to Arthur and Marjorie (Fischer) DenHartog. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Lewis University and worked as a registered nurse for several nursing homes. She is survived by three sons, Daniel (Mary Ann) Bunnell of Palos Park, David (Jane) Bunnell of Amboy and Christopher (Kesha) Bunnell of Apple Valley, Minn.; one daughter, Linda (Wayne) Frombaugh of New Berry, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur (Arlene) DenHartog of Conway, Ark., and Ronald (Pearl) DenHartog of Lakewood, Calif.; and one sister, Karen Eizenga of Tinley Park. She was preceded in death by one son in infancy and her parents. Memorials may be directed to Camp Saugatuk.
