Obituary
Mark S. Mills, 67 of Peru passed away April 26, 2019 in his home.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at noon at Restland Cemetery, Mendota with Rev. Susan Presley officiating. Military honors will be by Mendota VFW Post 4079. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Mark was born October 27, 1951 in Spring Valley to Wendell and Marcy (Lobbins) Mills.
Mark was a 1970 graduate of Mendota High School. He served in the United States Marines from 1972-1978 in the transportation division and was was stationed in Japan, Europe, Cuba, Philippines, North Carolina and San Francisco. He was a self employed contractor and was a certified locksmith.
He is survived by his sister Peggy (Shane Bice) of Ottawa; brother Brad Mills of Arlington; six nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Greg who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1969.
