Martin Huss, 69, of Mendota died Oct. 22, 2009, in Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Glen Foster officiating. Burial will be at Troy Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services Monday in the funeral home.Mr. Huss was born Sept. 18, 1940, in Sublette to Alan and Betty (Fahler) Huss. He attended Ophir Grade School in Triumph and graduated from Mendota High School in 1958. He was active in retail business until his retirement. He resided in Cherry for many years before moving to the nursing home. He is survived by one son, Martin (Molly) Huss Jr. of Grand Prairie, Texas; one daughter, Penny (Bruce) Munson of Cedar Creek, Texas; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his mother, Betty Moore of Mendota; two brothers, David Huss of Texas and Bart (Margie) Rhodes of La Salle; one sister, Christine (Ronny) Loy of triumph; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorials may be directed to the activity fund at Heritage Manor Nursing Home or the donor's choice.
