Mrs. Mary Ellen Coughlin (Mudron) of Mendota, went to heaven on Nov. 24, 2017. Funeral services will be at 11 am on Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church, Mendota with Rev. Susan  Presley officiating. Private burial in Restland Cemetery, Mendota.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Mary Ellen was born March 20, 1949 in Joliet to Raymond and Mary (Burns) Mudron. She married William Coughlin on Nov. 29, 1969 in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Joliet by Rev. Al Abbot.

She was a 1967 graduate of Plainfield High School and Strayer Business School in Washington, D.C Her passions were her family, the Bible, genealogy, travel, crocheting, cooking, and coloring. She lived her faith and will be missed.

She is survived by her husband, William of Mendota; her children, Melissa of Merrionette Park, Michael (Holly) of Ottawa, and Christine of Gallup, NM; grandchidren, Dawson and Trent of Merrionette Park, Victoria of Rockford, Paisley, Kinley and Ace of Ottawa; one brother, Richard of Plainfield; Inlaws Carole (Ralph) Jones of Camden, DE, Tim Coughlin of Leesburg,VA and Paul (Terry) Coughlin of Ocean City, MD.

She was preceded by her parents, inlaws, William and Agnes (Talty) Coughlin.
