Mary K. Guilfoyle, 71, of Mendota died July 14, 2017 at her residence.

Memorial services for her will be held a a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota handled arrangements.

Mary was born April 4, 1946 in Mendota to Arthur and Hilda (Longbein) Frey. She married William Guilfoyle on November 8, 1968 in Mendota.

She was a 1964 graduate of Mendota High School and was employed by Mendota School District 289 as a secretary until her retirement. She was a member of the Audubon Society, the Princeton Humane Society and Noah's Ark of Rockford.

She is survived by her husband, William of Mendota and one brother, Arthur Frey of Sterling.

She was preceded by her parents.
