of Troy Grove died Feb. 2,
2016, in Westview Healthcare,
Auburn, Calif.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday in Merritt Funeral
Home, Mendota, with
the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating.
Burial will be at
Troy Grove Cemetery with
military rites by Mendota
VFW Post 4079. There will
be no visitation.
He was born Jan. 18,
1934, in Nebraska to John
P. and Marjory (Shelton)
Jackson. He graduated from
Mendota High School in
1951. He served with the
U.S. Air Force as a pilot
1953-79. He was a veteran
of the Vietnam War and retired
after 26 years of service
with the rank of colonel.
He is survived by two
children, Jeffrey Jackson
and Cindy Shinault, both of
California; and two sisters;
Mina (George) Pohl of Mendota
and JoAnn Glicksberg
of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death
by one brother, John Jackson, Jr.
