Meredith (Dithy) Schreiner, 74, of Woodhaven Lakes and Sioux Falls, SD., passed away Friday July 21st at Mendota Lutheran Home after a brief but brave battle with lung cancer.

Cremation rites were accorded. There will be no services.

She is survived by her life long partner and love of her life William (Bill) Schreiner. Dithy and Bill bore three wonderful children, Mark, Leeann, and Janis.

She was ecstatic to be a grandmother to some incredible grandchildren. Dithy was blessed to surround herself with true family and friends who became family (you know who you are and she can't wait to see you again someday long from now). Dithy was the kind of person that could drive you nuts, but you couldn't help but love and look forward to seeing again. She valued everyone's opinion, but wouldn't rest until she beat you into submission and made you see things her way. She was an avid card shark and dominos player who couldn't stand to lose, in fact there is overwhelming evidence to support claims that she manipulated, omitted, and created rules to ensure her victory whenever she did battle. Impatient, stubborn, head strong, loyal to family, a fighter, a lover, a friend, a woman of faith. Dithy never made excuses for who she was. She will be missed by so many, and those who loved her will rejoice in meeting her again in Gods kingdom. Gods speed Dithy, find your peace, we will see you again.
