IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael
Frizol
March 7, 1953 – November 16, 2023
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael "Mike" Frizol, Sr. a man whose life was filled with laughter, adventure, and music.
Born on March 7, 1953, in Mendota, Michael embarked on his final journey on November 16, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and indomitable spirit.
Mike was a man of versatile passions. His love for reading and Classic Rock, Blues, Jazz, and especially The Grateful Dead, was profound. He carried these passions, wandering around the country. Everywhere he went, Mike never met a stranger, creating friendships everywhere.
Mike was predeceased by wife Kathy Frizol and his brothers, Edward and Victor Frizol. He leaves behind his beloved mother, Ruth Delhotal, and his father, James Frizol. He is mourned by his siblings Edie Thompson, Kelly Stewart (Joe), Mary "Tracy" Quindoy, Robert Frizol (Tammy), Sara Frizol, and Susan Frizol. Michael also leaves behind his children, Michael Frizol Jr. and Heather Buchin-Frizol, eight grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews, and ten stepsiblings.
We take comfort in knowing that his spirit, as free as the music he loved, will continue its journey, touching lives, and filling the universe with its unique melody.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the LaSalle Public Library where Michael spent a lot of his time in the last 10 years.
