Mike R. Ladson, 62, of 1802 First Ave., Mendota died Jan. 13, 2010, in his home. There will be no services. Cremation rites were accorded. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday in Triumph Hall building, Triumph. Arrangements were provided by Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Mr. Ladson was born April 24, 1947, in Sullivan, Ind., to John and Delores (Graves) Ladson. Survivors are two sons, Brian Ladson of Mendota and Eric Ladson of Opp, Ala.; two daughters, Lisa Ladson of Birmingham, Ala., and Dawn Ladson of Chicopee, Mass.; 11 grandchildren; his mother, Delores (Don) Hook of Arkansas; four brothers, Kenny (Joy) Ladson of Mendota, Chris (Brenda) Ladson of Mendota, Bob Ladson of New Mexico, and Floyd (Betty) Ladson of Streator; girlfriend Jean Farrow of Mendota. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother. He served in the United States Army and was a local handyman. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
