Mike W. Wear, 59, of Mendota died Sept. 29, 2018, in his residence.

Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with the Rev. Mary Bohall officiating. Private family burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be 4-6:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Mike was born Jan. 1, 1959, to Clyde and Mary (Ross) Janssen and later raised by Gene Wear.

Mike was a semi-driver and demolition derby enthusiast. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all who were lucky to have known him.

He is survived by his sisters, Yvonne Carr, Connie (Jerry) Husband, Patricia Rodriquez, Karen (John) Reutner, Diane Sater, Jean Baker, Rose Janssen, Cindy (Simon) Fuller and Tammy Janssen; and one brother, Walt (Carolyn) Wear; stepsons, Jeff and Jason Clark; three stepgrandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Mary (Ross) Wear; his father, Clyde Janssen; one brother, Larry; and one sister, Barbara.
