Mildred Murphy, 87, of Mendota died April 15, 2010, in Mendota Community Hospital. Graveside services will be at a later date. The Rev. Gale Brandner will officiate. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. She was born Jan. 17, 1923, in Keyser, W.Va., to James and Edna (Brafford) Fox. She married Chester Murphy. He died in 2003. Mrs. Murphy was a member of VFW Post 4079, Mendota Community Hospital Auxiliary, United Methodist Women and Zion United Methodist Church. Survivors are one son, C. Michael (Donna) Murphy of Wisconsin, and one grandson. She was preceded in death by one brother. Memorials may be directed to Friends of Strays.
