Minerva Nora (Scott) Drilling Crow, 96, of Mendota died May 9, 2016, in Heritage Health, Mendota.

Memorial services will be at 11:00a.m., Saturday, June 25th in First United Methodist Church, Mendota, with the Rev. Michael Morrell officiating. Private burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, south of Kewanee. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church.

Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting with the arrangements.

Minerva was born June 27, 1919, in Rushville to Thomas F. and Ruth (Houston) Scott Sr. She married John Earl Drilling of Kewanee in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1967. She later married Hubert B. Crow of Mendota in 1979 and he preceded her in death in 1985.

Minerva was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Chapter BD-PEO, Mendota Women's Club and did volunteer work for the church, hospital and American Red Cross. Minerva's favorite hobbies were antiquing, traveling to foreign countries, and Elderhostel trips concerning nature.

She is survived by three sons, Dr. John S. (Joy) Drilling of Centennial, Colo., Thomas H. (Mary Lou) Drilling of Chillicothe and James H. (Linda Hambleton) Drilling of Buckeye, Ariz.; two daughters, JoAnn (Robert) Burr and Rebecca (Douglas) Edwards of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one stepson, Roger J. Vogel of Bloomington; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas F. Scott; a sister, Emma Jo Putnam; two stepdaughters, Vicki (Crow) Vogel and Kristi Crow; a granddaughter at birth, Gerri Ann Drilling; and great-grandson, William B. Drilling.

Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
