Monica J. Cruz, 42, of Mendota died November 19, 2015 at the residence of her mother. A memorial mass was held at 11:00a.m., November 21, 2015 in Holy Cross Church with Rev. Joel Phelps officiating. The Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota assisted with the arrangements. She was born January 29, 1973 in Chicago to George and Mary (Menchaca) Cruz. She graduated from Lourdes High School in Chicago and attended Holy Cross Church. She is survived by her three sons; Jason, Jeorge, and Justin Hutchinson; her mother; Mary Ras and ; stepfather; Edward A. Ras; maternal grandmother; Ramona Menchaca; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her two dogs, Cleopatra and Caesar. She was preceded by her father. She was a wonderful person who will be very much missed by her family and friends. Memorials may be directed to the family.
