Naida I. Carver, 94, formerly of LaMoille passed away November 15th in the Mendota Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00a.m., in the Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille with Rev. David Jungnickel officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7p.m., in the church.
Naida was born August 31, 1921 in Gilman, Il. to Raymond and Nellie (Rider) Noy. She married Everett Carver June 3, 1939 in Arlington.
She was a member of Community United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and was on many of the churches committees. She was a past circle leader and past member of the Love Circle. She served as election judge for LaMoille township for several years. She was a substitute rural mail carrier and served on on several committees for LaMoille's Buffalo Celebration Days. She was an avid crocheter and knitter and taught classes at LaMoille High School on the subject.
She is survived by two daughters Linda (Roger) Harvey of LaMoille and Beverly Carver of Urbana; three sons Gerald (Dorothy) Carver of Princeton, James (Roberta) Carver of Alburnett, IA., and William (Melony) Carver of Mendota; 13 grandchildren 3 step grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 18 step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000, two brothers Ardell Noy and Dale Noy, a grandson in infancy, and her very dear daughter in law Linda Carver.
