Nancy E. Johnson, 84, of Mendota Lutheran Home, died Sept. 22, 2007, in the home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Cross Church, Mendota, with the Rev. James Kruse officiating. Burial will be at Wood National Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wis. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born Dec. 11, 1922, in Racine, Wis., to Frank and Mary (Cape) Connolly. She married Alan Johnson on Nov. 9, 1945, in Racine, Wis. Mrs. Johnson served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a registered nurse at Mendota Community Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and Mendota Elks Club. She is survived by two sons, Randy (Diane) Johnson of Aurora and Gary (Cindy) Johnson of Rice Lake, Wis.; three daughters, Lynn (David) Johnson of Bethlehem, Pa., Jennifer (Jon) Wright of San Diego, Calif., and Beth (Scott) Webber of Suwannee, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; and one sister, Kaye Searle of Flagler Beach, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991, three brothers and two sisters. Memorials may be directed to St. Margaret?s Hospice.
