Naomi L. Stuepfert, 79, of LaMoille died March 29, 2014, in St. Margaret's Hospital, Spring Valley.Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Zion Lutheran Church of Clarion Township with the Revs. Kevin Weeks and Jerry Graham officiating. Burial will be at Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8p.m. Tuesday at Lundquist-Merritt Funeral Home, LaMoille. She was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Des Moines, Iowa and raised by her aunt and uncle, Gladys and Howard Feik. She married Ardell Steupfert on Feb. 5, 1956, in Perkins Grove Church, rural LaMoille. She graduated from LaMoille High School in 1952. She was the longtime owner and operator of the Christmas Stable gift store in rural LaMoille before retiring. She also was the head cook at the old Mendota High School for several years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, serving on the women's board and held various offices at the church. She was instrumental in starting the LaMoille Buffalo Days celebration. She enjoyed being part of the community and serving the people. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Earl (Tammy) Stuepfert of LaMoille and Edward (Sarah) Stuepfert of LaMoille; two daughters, Sharon (Paul) Sarff of LaMoille and Wanda (Steve) DeLong of LaMoille; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and three sisters, Judith Bailey of Princeton, Laura Lee Pastorelli of Chicago and Grace Henery of LaMoille. She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace (McDonald) Robbins, one brother, and her aunt and uncle. Memorials may be directed to LaMoille Fire and Ambulance.
