Nichole Lynn Zinke, 41, of Mendota died June 30, 2011, in her home after a three-year struggle with lung cancer. A memorial visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. There will be no funeral service. Interment will be private at a later date at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. She was born May 8, 1970, in Dixon to Kenneth E. Ankney and Cheryl L. (Freed) Ankney. She married Kyle Zinke on Dec. 9, 1997, in Dixon. She graduated from Dixon High School in 1988. She graduated from Sauk Valley Community College in 1991and was a licensed practical nurse. She is survived by her husband of Mendota; one son, Garret John Zinke at home; three daughters, Kelcey Lynn Webber, Kylee Nicole Zinke and Gracie Ann Zinke, all at home; her father of Dixon; three brothers, John (Serrell) Ankney of Dixon, Jeff Ankney of Sterling and Kenny Ankney of Rockford; nieces and nephews; and her father and mother-in-law Gerry and Donna Zinke of Mendota. She was preceded in death by her mother in 2005. Memorials may be directed to the KKGG Children's Trust Fund set up at Eureka Savings Bank in Mendota.
