Nora Elia Mendez, age 75, of Chicago, IL passed away on May 6, 2024 in her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Holy Cross Church, Mendota at 10:30 a.m. with Father Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home.

Nora was born July 31, 1948 in Grafton, North Dakota to Frank and Ramona (Martinez) Menchaca.

Nora is survived by her son Anthony. Granddaughters Brianna and Hailey. Siblings Frank (late), Mary (Edward), Gloria (Cris), Margot and Richard (Sherry). Loving daughter to Frank (late) and Ramona (late). Fond Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She worked for the City of Chicago for 40 years. She had a passion for travel and loved her family. Steadfast in her beliefs and a devout Catholic.
