Patricia (Sheridan) Gedymin, 83, of Florida, formerly of Mendota, died Dec. 22, 2009, in Trinity Regional Rehab Center, Trinity, Fla. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Holy Cross Church, Mendota. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday at Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born Sept. 11, 1926, in Bronaugh, Mo., to Patrick and Stella (Worsley) Sheridan. She married Adam Gedymin. Mrs. Gedymin was a graduate of Mendota High School. She was employed by Coldwell Banker as a Realtor and later owned Continental Realty, both in Lombard. She is survived by two sons, Jon (Mary Ann) Gedymin of Oconomowoc, Wis., and Dan (Paula) Gedymin of Odessa, Fla.; six grandchildren; one brother, Manford Sheridan of Peru; one sister, Deloris Heitz of Mendota; and her companion, Charles Van Boxtaele of Arlington Heights. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982. Memorials may be directed to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
