Paul F. Truckenbrod, 90, of LaMoille died April 19, 2012, at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church of Clarion. The Rev. Kevin Weeks will officiate. Burial will be at Clarion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Sunday at Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Mr. Truckenbrod was born Dec. 4, 1921, in Clarion Township to Paul H. and Alma (Meyer) Truckenbrod. He married Marjorie Meyer on Feb. 11, 1950, in Clarion Lutheran Church. She died Nov. 5, 2008. He farmed in Clarion Township his entire life. He was a member of American Shorthorn Association since 1964. He served on the Bureau County Fair board and was past president of the board. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1212. He was employed as a bartender at various area restaurants. He graduated from LaMoille High School in 1939. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Clarion and sang in the church choir. Survivors are one daughter, Barbara (Jeff) Morehead of Harmon; one son, Paul G. (Patricia) Truckenbrod of Mendota; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his wife; one brother, Edward; and two sisters, Lucille and Kathryn. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
