Obituary
Paula J. Hochstatter, 88 of Sublette passed away September 6, 2019 at OSF St. Paul Medical Center, Mendota.
Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Father Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will be at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Peterstown. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
Paula was born February 11, 1931 in Galena, Missouri to Floyd and Eunice (Hawkins) Perryman. She married Harold Hochstatter May 11, 1963 at Holy Cross Church, Mendota.
Paula was a graduate of Beauty Culture School in 1973. She owned and operated Paula's Beauty Salon for over 25 years. She also worked at Conkey's and Del Monte in Mendota. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and the Mendota VFW Post 4079 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved the Chicago Cubs, Bears and Bulls and sports in general.
She is survived by her son James (Gina) Hochstatter of LaSalle; brother Robert Perryman of Elmwood; three grandchildren Floyd (Susan) Jones, Zach (Katie Goble) Hochstatter and Abby Hochstatter; five great grandchildren Jaclynn Ridge, Colton Hochstatter, Liam Indigo, Sean Indigo and Calum Indigo and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2001, two sons Rich Perryman and Jeff Jones, and ten brothers and sisters, Jean, Delbert, Floyd, Ralph, Thelma, Shirley, Bonnie, Betty, Jack and J.D.
