Ralph Fischer, 86, of LaMoille died July 18, 2011, in Mendota Lutheran Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Bache Memorial Chapel, Van Orin, with the Rev. Larry Sheaves officiates. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation is one hour prior to services Friday at the chapel. Arrangements were provided by Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. He was born Aug. 2, 1924, in LaMoille to Lawrence and Anna (Mathias) Fischer. He married Florine Worsley on Nov. 6, 1953, in Mendota. He graduated from Ohio High School. He farmed in the Van Orin area. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church of LaMoille and National Rifle Association. He was a lifelong sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Florine of LaMoille; three sons, Jim (Paula) Fischer of LaMoille; the Rev. David (Cathy) Fischer of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Donald (Susie) Fischer of Indianapolis, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mabel.
