Ralph W. Weber, 77, of Mendota Lutheran Home died Dec. 4, 2009, in Mendota Community Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Sts. Peter & Paul Church, Peterstown, with the Rev. Fredi Gomez-Torres officiating. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Peterstown, with full military rites by VFW Post 4079. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Mr. Weber was born Jan. 11, 1932, in Mendota to Edmund and Loretta (Sondgeroth) Weber. He served with the U.S. Army and was a farmer. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1212, Knights of Columbus, and Sts. Peter & Paul Church. He is survived by one son, Bill (Lynn) Weber of LaMoille; three daughters, Theresa (Joel) Hild of Edmond, Okla., Denise (Tom) Miller of Chesterfield Township, Mich., and Jane (Keith) Blomberg of Schaumburg; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Norbert (Rita) Weber of Mendota and Raymond (Patti) Weber of Peru; and five sisters, Joanne (Alvin) Montavon of Sublette, RuthAnn (Jim) Young of Metamora, Sr. Elaine Weber of Milwaukee, Wis., Carol (Greg) Apuli of Hartland, Wis., and Rita (Louis) Pakula of Cherry. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
