Richard "Rick" Ramer, 61, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012, at his home in Ankeny. He was born November 8, 1951, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Romaine Diehl Ramer Magnuson and George "Mike" Magnuson.

Rick enjoyed fishing, stock car racing, baseball, bowling, playing darts, gambling at area casinos, and attending demolition derbies.

Rick is survived by his first wife, Connie Stevenson Ramer and their children, Wendy (Donnie) Ramer, Rick (Angie) Ramer, Jr., and Danny Lee (Dori) Ramer; his second wife, Traci Myers Ramer and their son, Zachary (Whitney) Ramer; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul (Carol) Ramer of Mendota, Illinois, Larry "Red" (Linda) Ramer of Des Moines, and Terry (Ruth) Ramer of Mendota, Illinois; 1 sister, Linda (Dave) Rapp of Mendota, Illinois and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Justin "JJ" Jr.; his parents; brothers, George "Mikey" Magnuson, Jr., and Jeff Magnuson; grandmother, Sarah Diehl; and father-in-law, Ron Myers.

Memorial visitation will be Saturday, January 12th from 4-7p.m., at Merritt Funeral Home.
