Ricki Lynn Lucas, 47, of California and formerly of LaMoille, passed away on September 7, 2023 in San Diego, CA.

Ricki was born in Spring Valley, Illinois on January 21, 1976 to Richard "Rick" Lucas and Sheila Magnuson Rithmiller.

Ricki graduated from LaMoille Community High School where she excelled in academics and was inducted into the National Honor Society. She competed in sports and was lead chair saxophone in the school band. Ricki worked as a waitress and bartender at various area restaurants where she was well like by her customers. She also worked as a tax preparer. Ricki's interests included exploring nature, interacting with people and astrology. Ricki was outgoing, personable and never met a stranger. She loved her children and family dearly.

Ricki is survived by her father Rick (Paula) Lucas of Dixon, Illinois and mother Sheila (George) Rithmiller of Princeton, Illinois. Her four children, Jessi (Lexie) Miranda, Gavin Smith and Harmoni Smith all of DePue, Illinois and son Zander Blottiaux of Grayslake, Illinois; one grandson Finnegan Miranda of DePue, Illinois, sisters Paula (Gary) Richardson of Wyanet, Illinois and Amber (Matt) Skinner of Norway, Illinois along with nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Cremation rights have been accorded and visitation will be Friday, September 15, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
