Robert L. Carnahan, 77, of Mendota died Feb. 27, 2011, in his residence. Private graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wyoming Cemetery, Paw Paw, with the Rev. Ken Foster officiating. Funeral arrangements are provided by Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. He was born Sept. 20, 1933, in Compton to Chester and Bertha (Bend) Carnahan. He married Joyce Edwards. He worked in the maintenance department at Caron Yarn, Rochelle. He is survived by one brother, Chester (Diane) Carnahan of Mendota; one sister, Joyce (Arthur) Terry of Sycamore; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1992 and one brother, Kenny. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
