Obituary
Robert W. Kahl, 60, of Mendota passed away Jan. 13, 2017 at his home.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 18 from 5-8 p.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with the Rosary offered at 7:30 p.m. There will be no funeral services. Private burial will take place at a later date.
Robert was born Feb. 12, 1956 in Glen Ellyn to Donald and Ainslie (Walters) Kahl.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Jan (Shimek) Kahl of Mendota and his mother, Ainslie Kahl of North Aurora.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Wayne Kahl.
Robert was a 1975 graduate of Glenbard East High School in Lombard. He was a lifetime member of the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters Union Local #363. He retired in 2011 after 30 years with the Union.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Illinois Cancer Care Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
