Obituary
Robert P. Kurtz, 83, of Mendota, passed away November 20, 2021 in his home.
A Celebration of Life will announced at a later date and held at the Nazarene Church, Mendota.
Robert was born January 23, 1938 in Waltham Twp., to Joseph and Jeannette (Hadley) Kurtz. He married Linda Kent on June 12, 2000.
Robert served in the United States Marines during the Korean War. He worked for Charles Chips in Peoria and was a dockman for Consolidate Freightways for 30 years. After retirement he was a security guard for Del Monte in Mendota. He enjoyed collecting old fashioned diecast cars.
He is survived by his wife Linda of Mendota; daughter Megan Sonsoucie of Mendota; son Jeremiah (Rebecca) Nance of Florida and four grandchildren Brandon and Hayley Pickett, Summer Nance, Finn Sessler and Mariah (James) Baxter and a great grandson Bentley Baxter.
