Robin L. Hedgspeth, of LaSalle, IL, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2023 at OSF St. Paul Medical Center, Mendota, surrounded by her family.

She grew up in Mendota, IL and remained  in the Illinois Valley for her entire life.

She thrived while living in a Horizon House group home where she was with great friends. She enjoyed the many outings that the house participated in. While she could have been described as quiet, those closest to her would say she was very sweet. Robin frequently would offer the first hug to a housemate that was sad. She loved visiting with family for holidays and celebrations, but home was at Horizon House.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Marge (Goubeaux) Hedgspeth and her sister Helen Lemmer.

She is survived by her sister Sally Hedgspeth, Will (Kathy) Hedgspeth, niece Kari (Nick) Pohar, great nephew and niece Nolan & Kaiya Pohar.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and service will begin at 11:00 a.m.Thursday, January 4, 2024 with Father Jeff Windy officiating at the Merritt Funeral Home 800 Monroe St, Mendota, IL. A luncheon will follow the service.
