Obituary

Roger Lee Browder, 77, of Clinton, IA., formerly of LaMoille, Il. passed away September 28th in Mercy Medical Center, Clinton, IA.
Memorial services will be held October 3rd at 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, LaMoille with the Rev. Jerry Graham officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Cremation rites were accorded.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Lundquist-Merritt Funeral Home, LaMoille.
Roger was born March 23, 1938 in Reynolds Twp., Lee County, Il. to Edgar and Margaret (Mullins) Browder.
He graduated from Amboy Grade School, where he won many honors in art, orations and 4-H. He also won the American Legion Award. He graduated from LaMoille High School and furthered his education at various colleges earning four degrees. He served with the U.S. Army for six years. He loved to travel and was on every continent in the world. He also loved to camp along the Mississippi River as he loved being outdoors. Between college years, while in California, he worked in federal parks working as a civil engineer.
He is survived by three sisters Sue DeLong and Edna (Roger) Moore both of LaMoille, and Mary Browder of Ft. Meyers, FL.; three brothers Gary (Beth) Browder and Edgar (Linda) Browder, Jr. both of Mendota and John (Susan) Browder of Choctaw, OK.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
