Ronelva Wilson, 91, of 4415 E. 684
th Road, Mendota died May 10, 2009, in her home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Richard Schaill officiating. Burial will be at Phillips Cemetery, Streator. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. She was born Nov. 29, 1917, in Streator to Robert and Mildred (Campbell) Petty. She married James Wilson on Dec. 29, 1944, in California. She was a member of Mendota Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Bible study. She worked at Del Monte and Marathon Electric in Earlville for 12 years. She is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Swope of Rochelle; one son, Robert Wilson of Mendota; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, one great-grandson, two sisters and one brother. Memorials may be directed to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue, Ottawa Regional Hospice or the family.
