Rudy A. Meusel, 77, of Hollowayville went to
meet his Lord and Savior on Sept. 3, 2015, in his
home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota. Burial will be at Union Cemetery,
LaMoille Township.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until
the time of services Tuesday in the funeral
home.
Mr. Meusel was born July 23, 1938, to
John and Martha (Fisher) Meusel. He
married Donna Lemmer on Feb. 23,
1960, in Dixon.
He loved spending time with his children,
grandchildren and great-grandson.
He loved the outdoors, NASCAR, demo
derby, country and polka music, his golf
cart and his dog, Luckie. He also enjoyed
cars and driving his golf cart to
pick up bottles and cans to recycle.
He worked for 32 years at LTV Steel in Hennepin.
Survivors are one son, Jack (Elizabeth) of Tonica; one
daughter, Linda (Greg) Swanson of Seatonville; one grandson,
Johnathon (Meriah) Meusel of Spring Valley; three
granddaughters, Meghan (Steve) Meusel of Spring Valley,
Allison Lanham of Spring Valley and Kinsey Moore of
Princeton; one great-grandson, Jordan Meusel; two brothers,
George Meusel of Amboy and Henry Meusel of Dixon.
Many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded by his parents; his wife in December
1993; an infant son, Johnny; a grandson, James; and one
brother, Norman.
