Ruth V. Molln, 96, passed away, April 17, 2024 at Allure of Walnut.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 22, 2024 at the First Lutheran Church of Ohio with Revs Jeff and Lori Whalen officiating. Burial will be in Van Orin Repose Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of services. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.

Ruth was born September 3, 1927 in Mendota the daughter of Carl and Rena (Mann) Kerchner. She married Elwood Molln January 13, 1946 in Mendota. He preceded her in death January 31, 2004.

Ruth was a homemaker and she actively participated with Elwood in their livestock and grain farming operation. In addition to livestock she had chickens and egg chores to tend to everyday. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Ohio.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Kerwin Paris) Purvis of LaMoille, Doris (John) Helm of St.Peters, MO. and Arlen (Gaye) Molln of Rockford, daughter-in-law Jackie Molln of Ohio, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Eldon Molln, her granddaughter Lynette Purvis, her son-in-law Roger Purvis, and twin great granddaughters Lucy and Lilly Galloway. Ruth was the 5th of 8 children in her family and all of her siblings preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to First Lutheran Church Ohio or Bache Chapel, Van Orin.
