Obituary
Sabra "Susie" Garten, 82, of Sublette, passed away September 3, 2022 at River View Rehab Center in Elgin, Illinois.
She was born March 17, 1940 in Mendota to Raymond and Lillian (Etheridge) Nance.
Susie loved animals and she worked for Sauk Valley Humane Society for many years. She was also a member of Mendota T.O.P.S.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her two sons, Alan (Patricia Fitzgerald) Childs and Kyle Garten and two grandchildren Tyan (Amber Villejo) Childs and Paige Ellis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Harold "Duke" Garten.
At her request there will be no services. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the family.
