Sam Snuffin, 73, of Mendota died Feb. 21, 2010 while vacationing in Destin, Fla. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 1 at First United Methodist Church, Mendota. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the church. Mr. Snuffin was born Jan. 28, 1937 to Samuel and Jewell Snuffin. Survivors include his wife, Betty; two daughters, Susan (Carl) Ambler and Amy Snuffin; one son, Michael Snuffin; three granddaughters, Kaylee, Mariah, and Hannah; one brother, Myron (Sherry); a niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Mr. Snuffin taught mathematics and coached basketball at Mendota High School and was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Mendota. Memorials to be directed to First United Methodist Church.
