Obituary
Sandra S. (Streit) Foster, 70, of Mendota passed away October 26, 2018 at her daughter's house in Peru.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Susan Presley officiating. Burial will be private at St. Mary's Cemetery in Maytown. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m., in the funeral home.
Sandra was born August 17, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa to Al and Lois (Sanders) Dierks. She married Richard Foster February 18, 1992 in Gig Harbor, Washington.
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and had a great sense of humor. She was a great cook, especially her oyster stew, and loved eating sweet corn.
She is survived by her husband Richard of Mendota; her son Jason (Lynn) Streit of Amboy; two daughters Wendy (Daniel) Haacker of Elburn and Michele (Michael) Fusinatto of Peru; a stepson Scott Foster of Chicago; stepdaughter Amanda (Troy) Chaon of Hayward, WI; four brothers Al (Pam) Dierks of Clinton, IA; Tim Dierks of Spring Valley; Robert (Marlene) Milota of Davenport, IA. and Joe (Sandy) Milota of Spring Valley; one sister Ruth (Roy) Eubanks of Fairfield, IA; eleven grandchildren; a great granddaughter; a great grandson; sister in law Sandi Milota and her dog Dolly.
She was preceded by her parents and a brother Jon.
Memorials may be directed Illinois Valley Animal Rescue or Mendota Food Pantry.
