Sandra "Sandy" A. (Dean) Gordon, 71, of Mendota passed away June 13, 2021 at Heritage Health, Mendota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Mendota with Father Peter Pilon officiating.  Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be Thursday June 17, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Sandy was born May 10, 1950 in Chicago to William and Mary (Schmitt) Dean. She married Leslie E. Gordon, Jr. on March 6, 1971 at Holy Cross Church.

Sandy graduated Mendota High School in 1968. She worked for Northbrook Grade School for over 30 years before her retirement. She was a member of Holy Cross Church. She loved playing bingo, going to the casino and spending time with her family and friends

She is survived by two sons Brian Gordon of Clarendon Hills and Leslie Gordon III of Mendota; daughter Melissa (Chris Roling) of Mendota; two sisters Pat (Rolin) Smith of Mendota and Karen (Glen) McStoots of West Brooklyn; two brothers Bill Dean and Mike (Wanda) Dean both of Mendota; several nieces, nephews and cousins; two aunts and her dog Buddy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 45 years, Leslie, in 2016.
