Obituary
Sarah E. Cruz, 35, of Spring Valley passed away February 13, 2020 in Plainfield from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Victory Baptist Church, Mendota with Rev. Jay Miller officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is handling arrangements.
Sarah was born February 23, 1984 in Mendota to Jim and Bonnie (Terry) Cushman.
Sarah was baptized at Holy Cross Church and attended Mendota schools and also Hall High School. She loved to cook, sew and draw. She enjoyed being with friends and doing makeup.
She is survived by her mother Bonnie Cushman of Spring Valley; three brothers Travis Cushman of Spring Valley, James Cushman of Depue and Dustin Cushman of Arizona; two sisters Emily Cushman of Colorado and Apple Terry of Spring Valley; maternal grandparents Tom and Marian Terry of DePue and paternal grandparents Sherman and Pauline Cushman of Dewey, AZ. and aunt, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father. May angels welcome you as you join your cousin Jennifer Terry, who was like a sister to you, and passed away in 2018.
