Scott D. Torman, 57, of Paw Paw died unexpectedly Dec. 21, 2009, in Mendota Community Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Presbyterian Church of Paw Paw with the Rev. Anne Hoflen officiating. Burial will be at Wyoming Cemetery. Visitation will be 2- 6 p.m. Sunday in the church. Mr. Torman was born Feb. 25, 1952, in Mendota to Robert and Janice (Keenan) Torman. He married Patricia O'Sadnick on May 11, 1979, in Mendota. He was a graduate of Paw Paw High School, Lake City College and Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He owned and operated Torman Funeral Home in Paw Paw and worked at Merritt Funeral Home in Mendota. He was a deputy coroner for Lee County. He was a member of Paw Paw Chamber of Commerce, Indian Oaks Country Club in Shabbona and Mendota Elks Lodge 1212. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Matt Torman of Rockford, Michael Torman of Batavia and Tyler Torman of Batavia; one sister, Barb (Jim) Terry of Huntley; and one brother, Charles (Chris) Torman of Minneapolis, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Memorials may be directed to the family for a fund established in Scott's name.
