Obituary
Shane Michael Veit, 40 of LaSalle passed away July 22, 2019 at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Cameron Graper officiating. Burial will be in Troy Grove Cemetery, Troy Grove. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.
Shane was born September 11, 1978 in Mendota to Michael and Rhonda (Aves) Veit.
Shane was a 1996 graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School. He attended Illinois Valley Community College and worked as a pipefitter.
He is survived by his parents of LaSalle; his sister Alison (Jonathan) Heafitz of Silver Spring, Maryland; his niece Molly; his nephew Brady and his weimaraner Claire.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
