Sharon Edgcomb, 66, of Mendota, died Dec. 24, 2007, in her residence. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Dale Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Troy Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Mrs. Edgcomb was born Nov. 2, 1941, in Chicago to Harold and Loretta (Noel) Motter. She married Gene Edgcomb on March 26, 1966, in Mendota. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary and Elks Lodge 1212. She was a 1960 graduate of Mendota High School. She was employed by Spartan Tool in Mendota as an assembler and inspector. She is survived by a daughter, Shelby (Gary) Weide of Mendota; two granddaughters; two brothers, Raymond (Carolyn) Motter and William (Chere) Motter, both of Mendota; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 26, 1993; and her parents. Memorials may be directed to St. John?s Lutheran Church or Mendota Lutheran Home.
