Sharon Lemmer, 91 of Mendota passed away peacefully at the OSF St. Paul Medical Center on September 22, 2026.

Sharon was born on September 1, 1935 in Mendota IL, to Daniel and Kathryn Biers.

She graduated from Mendota High School and went on to live a full and happy life. Her loving personality brought smiles to everyone she encountered, both in her daily life and while working as a waitress.

She is survived by her husband, Norman Lemmer; her children, Dennis (Jamie) Lemmer of Peru IL, Jeff (Sharon) Lemmer of Cypress TX, and Cindy (Duane) Mellott of Gilbertsville KY; her grandchildren, Bridina, Kaitlyn, Jaden (children of Dennis and Jamie), Jordan, Jessica (children of Jeff and Sharon), Bryton, Brandy (children of Cindy and Duane); her 5 great grandchildren, Isaiah, Arielle, Cora Beth, Mila, and Maverick; as well as her beloved fur baby "Pip".

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Kathryn (Andrews) Biers; her siblings, Daniel Biers, Mary Lou Reppin, and Kathy Smith.

A memorial service will take place at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at the Horner-Merritt Funeral Home, 800 Monroe Street in Mendota. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sharon's name may be directed to any children's charity of the donor's choice.
