On November 1, 2018 at approximately 0430 hours, Sheryl "Casey" Ann (Brooks) Lau passed away peacefully at Heritage Health nursing facility in Mendota Il. She was preceded in death by her parents Josephine (Lane) Brooks and David G. Brooks, stepmother Jean Brooks and her husband, Bruce Allen Lau in 2012. Casey is survived by her siblings Rhoda (Edward) Connoly, Betty (Bob) Gibson, David (Mary Ann) Brooks, Ann Standley and Patricia (Tim) Pelczar, her son Keith D (Patricia) Walker and grandchildren Eriq Gene Walker and Cassandra Walker along with many nieces and nephews. There are many peoples' lives that this special woman touched through the years in the many places she lived and worked. She was a beloved family member and friend to many. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Army for 6 years from 1974-1980. She will be missed. There will be an honor guard on Monday November 5th at Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore, Il. at 1500 hours.
