Obituary

Shirley Ann Etheridge, 75, of Mendota Lutheran Home died April 15, 2009, at the home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, in Zion Lutheran Church of Clarion, Mendota. The Rev. Kevin Weeks will officiate. Private burial will be at Restland Cemetery at a later date, after cremation rites are accorded. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. She was born April 11, 1934, in Cobden to George W. and Emma (Brandt) Treece. Mrs. Etheridge was a CNA and worked for Mendota Lutheran Home for 15 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Clarion and past member of Eastern Star. Survivors are two sons, Robert (Gail) Moffett of Mendota and David Neff of El Paso; one daughter, Sheila Neff of Mendota; two brothers, Herbert (Wanda) Treece of Missouri and Harry Treece of Cobden; three sisters, Lucy Nadolski of Florida, June Gee of Carbondale and Emma (Frankie) Land of Indiana; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 16 brothers and sisters. Memorials may be directed to the family.
