Shirley Ann (Gross) Scholl, 78, of Princeton died Oct. 5, 2008, in Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille , with the Rev. Kim Lee-Brown officiating. There will be no visitation. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, provided the arrangements. She was born June 25, 1930, in Princeton to Ray W. and Anna A. (Wilkins) May. She married Robert Gross on Oct. 12, 1947; he died in 1972. She married Carl Scholl on Jan. 23, 1980; he died in May 2006. She was a 1947 graduate of LaMoille High School. She lived in Peoria 1978- 1984 and in Mission, Texas, 1984-89. She moved to Peoria in 1989 and in 2006 resided in Princeton. She was employed by Perry Memorial Hospital for five years. Later she, worked in the insurance business for 30 years. She was employed by Peoria School District 150 for two years. She is survived by one son, Richard "Dick" (Mary) Gross of LaMoille; one daughter, Beverly (Rod) Pyles of East Peoria; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Elaine Lusietto of LaMoille; nieces and nephews. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association.
