Stanley B. Brandenburg, 89, of Mendota died Aug. 22, 2008, in Mendota Lutheran Home. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota, with the Rev. Johathan Crail officiating. Burial was at Serena Cemetery. Visitation was 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Brandenburg was born Oct. 22, 1918, in Sandwich to Harold and Charlotte (Bernard) Brandenburg. He married Elsie LaVerne Whitlock on Nov. 19, 1939. He was a lifelong farmer and also sold real estate and insurance. He was a member of Serena United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Elsie; one son, Howard Jerome (Patricia) of Union Grove, Wis.; one granddaughter and two great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Memorials may be directed to the Serena United Methodist Church.
