Stephen M. Corcoran, 54, of Sterling and formerly of West Brooklyn, died Aug. 18, 2015, in Rockford Memorial Hospital.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Church, West Brooklyn with the Rev. Randy Fronek officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, West Brooklyn.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church. Funeral arrangements were provided by Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

He was born Oct. 15, 1960, in Mendota to Justin and Anne (Vickrey) Corcoran.
He was a graduate of Mendota High School and a member of St. Mary's Church.
He is survived by his parents of West Brooklyn; five brothers, Timothy Corcoran of Madison, Wis., Gregory (JoAnn) Corcoran of Pick City, N.D., Jerome (Tina) Corcoran of Amboy, John (Lisa) Corcoran of Sublette, and Jeffrey (Tracy) Corcoran of Belvidere.; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
