Sue Ellen Youssi, 66, of
Batavia and originally of rural
Compton passed away Sept.
14, 2012, following a courageous
battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be at
11 a.m. Wednesday in Merritt
Funeral Home, Mendota, with
the Rev. Ken Foster officiating.
Interment will be at
Melugin Grove Cemetery,
Compton.
Visitation is one hour prior
to services Wednesday in the
funeral home and 4-8 p.m.
Tuesday in Moss Family
Funeral Home, Batavia.
She was born Dec. 12,
1945, in Mendota to Ralph
and Evelyn (Bauer) Gilmore.
She married James Youssi on
Sept. 9, 1967, in Mendota.
Sue was employed for
more than 20 years with
Market Day as a sales representative.
She is survived by her
husband; two children, Brian
Youssi of Maple Park and
Julia (Michael) Goss of
Gurnee; four grandchildren,
Tyler Youssi, Emma, Zach
and Grace Goss; two brothers,
Edward (Donna) Gilmore of
Paw Paw and Chuck (Betty)
Gilmore of Aurora; one sister,
Marilyn Tomsha of Sparta,
Wis.; father-in-law Fred
Youssi of Utah; two sistersin-
law, Donna (Gene) Goy
of Dixon and Joan Youssi of
Batavia; and many nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death
by her parents; mother-inlaw,
Marion Youssi; and
two brothers-in-law, Daniel
Youssi and Carl Tomsha.
In lieu of flowers, the
family asks that anyone able
donate blood to a local blood
bank, or direct monetary
contributions to Leukemia
Lymphoma Society, 651 W.
Washington Blvd., Chicago,
or to the donor's choice.
