Susie Belle Ambler-Tracy, 73, of Mendota, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.

Private family only services will be held Wednesday April 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Vicar Anthony Windau officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota.

Susie was born June 19, 1949 in Sandwich to Maxwell and Mildred (Demry) Cronin. She married Bryan Tracy September 20, 2006 in Las Vegas.

One of her favorite things to do was to cook for her family and friends while she enjoyed a glass of sweet ice tea. Susie absolutely loved her flowers and collecting seeds for the following year. She would take family and friends for walks through her beautiful gardens and share her wisdom with others of her hobby. Susie was known for her love of wildlife, she would feed anything that walked through her yard from birds to opossums.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and John Stewart of Mendota and their children Tricia Schultz, John Cody Stewart, and Kaleb Stewart of Mendota; her son and daughter-in-law Carl and Susan Ambler of Mendota and their children Mariah Ambler and Hannah Ambler of Mendota. Her husband Bryan Tracy of Mendota; great granddaughter Jaylynn Stewart and great grandson Jameson Norton and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Frank Cronin, Jimmy Jo Cronin, Melvin Cronin and Kenneth Cronin and one sister Shirley Ambler and one great granddaughter Emma Norton.
