Nov. 2, 2014, in Heritage Manor
Nursing Home, Mendota.
Funeral services will be at
10:30 a.m. Thursday in Holy
Cross Catholic Church, Mendota
with the Rev. Bowan Schmitt officiating.
Burial
with military
rites will be at
a later date at
Abraham Lincoln
National
Cemetery.
Visitation
will be 4-7 p.m.
with a rosary
at 3:30 p.m.

Suzanne Su was born Dec. 7,
1945, to Norman and Frances
La Belle. She married Long-Kee
Su on June 12, 1970, in Bayside,
N.Y.
She graduated from Bayside
High School, Flushing, N.Y. in
1964. She joined the U.S. Army
as a private 1st class in 1965 as
a medical corpsman and earned
the National Defense Service
Medal. She then went on to become
a licensed practical nurse
in 1969.
Suzanne moved to Mendota in
1972 where she lived until 1982
when her husband joined the
U.S. Air Force. She graduated
from Midwestern State University
in 1988 with a bachelor's degree
in music.
In 1990, she returned to Mendota.
Suzanne was added to
the book of Outstanding Young
Women of America in 1997. In
2010, she joined the Eudist Servants
of the 11th Hour, where she
took the name Sister Michael
Vincent.
She was a member of Holy
Cross Catholic Church where she
taught Confraternity of Christian
Doctrine classes and was in the
choir. She also was a member of
Tri-County Chapter of VietNow,
Abigail Women's Clinic, and Lay
Carmelites and did her ministry
work in county jails and correctional
facilities. She was a wonderful
mother, teacher and a very
giving woman; she'll be missed
greatly.
Survivors include her children;
two daughters, Mai-Lin (Timothy)
Malone of Olathe, Kan.,
and Kim (Pat) Delperdang of
Shawnee, Kan.; one son, Dennis
(Cassandra) Su of Olathe; three
granddaughters, Quisitis Su, Angelina
Malone and Talia Delperdang;
one niece, Chi-Lin (Mike)
Shiao of San Antonio, Texas; and
two great-nephews, David and
Johnny Shiao.
She was preceded in death
by her parents; husband; and a
grandson Lokee Delperdang.

to Holy Cross School and Holy
Cross Church.
